Building upon his experience settling cases as an advocate, in 1999 Mr. Uthoff sought out additional training at the nationally renowned Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law to further prepare himself as a professional mediator. Since that time as a private independent neutral, mediator panelist for the American Arbitration Association and Transportation ADR Council, Attorney Settlement Officer for the United States District Court for the Central District of California Mediator and former Panelist for the Los Angeles Superior Court , Mr. Uthoff has successfully settled hundreds of cases.

Mr. Uthoff has also been appointed as an Arbitrator Panelist for the American Arbitration Association on its Consumer, Commercial and Transportation panels. He has been responsible for presiding over dozens of arbitrations as an individual and panel arbitrator.
